Hi,

Carl Nafzger was in the middle of discussing the virtues of the Preakness as the second jewel in the Triple Crown when he suddenly put it all into perspective. "The Preakness is great. Everybody knows it," the longtime trainer said. "But it's not the Kentucky Derby and never will be.

The Street Sense went into the second jewel of the Triple Crown as the favorite, but finished second by a nose to eventual two-time Horse of the year Curlin in the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course on May 19, 2007.
