While 1986 wasn’t the first year for the DX-3000, it is preferred by many due to the black and yellow color scheme which was new for ’86. In 1987 the black and yellow paint scheme continued albeit with a fade paint job. The components were by no means high end but they were certainly respectable for a sport rider.
