Extinct Masterpiece!!! Very Rare, Impossible to find!!! Incredibly pleasant to ride she makes a great candidate for L’eroica and is a valuable collector’s item. Less than a dozen of pieces were made of this “Aquila Cromovelato Super Record” the rear derailleur is patent 1979 which indicate the year she was build and she weight 8.8kg (19.5lbs) only. Aquila is a small factory from Montecarchi, they were popular for their touring sporting bikes and known for their high quality finishing giving great attention for details. Their operation lasted from the mid 50 till the mid 80', thereafter until early 90' Aquila was only doing the paint job for bigger bicycle manufacturers such as Colnago, Olmo, Vicini, Tommasini and others. In the mid 90' the brand Aquila Was bought from an American company which is still operational today! |
