Model General Information |
According to the kind folk at the San Jose History Museum, this machine was used every morning to check the condition of the trolley tracks before the passenger trolleys were allowed to make their first runs of the day. The staff believes there may have been a third seat mounted out front for an inspector, however I saw no hint that one had ever been installed on this machine. I appreciate their kind tolerance of the guy (me) who was more interested in this bike than in their beautifully restored trolley cars. |
