Details: My bike was dated as 1982 by Sabine Jansen, Customer Service of Koninklijke Gazelle NV (NOTE: I disagree with this information. According to information at jvs.webklik.nl/page/specs#AAspecial_1982, which seems to be correct, 531c tubing didn't become available until the late 80s. Other characteristics, such as the fade and the decals, seem to me to be more compatible with a late 80s vintage. Brand Information(click to expand)
While the bulk of the frames produced by Gazelle over the course of its history have been dutch style city bikes, their line of high end racing frames are often considered an under appreciated gem.  The Champion Mondial line of frames started to be produced in the early 70's was produced in multiple versions in fairly significant numbers, however very few were ever exported beyond the Netherlands or adjoining countries.
