History
Based near St Etienne, France, started making tubes in 1931. In the early post WW2 years their premium tubing was called Rubis, however the frame builder Urago started building frames with the Durifort tubing, based on the tube maker's plain gauge tubing. The company is best known as the producer of the Vitus line of tubing which was commonly found on high quality French bicycles throughout the 70's and 80's.
