General Information
Probably the last version of the Super LJ front derailleur: no marking on the cage + satin finish.  Sources say that the Simplex starburst logo was removed from the cage starting in 1984.

Details:   The best of the Simplex lines of components.  Consisted primarily of Front and Rear Derailleurs as well as Shifters.  The SLJ designation was also given to other parts occasionally such as seat posts.
