General Information
The SX 810 T was available as typical touring derailleur (= "T") with and without hanger for fork end. Can shift 3 - 7 gears. Years of production are estimated from the appearance in Simplex catalogues and thus may also cover a broader period. After 1981 it was apparently followed by the SJ 810 GT with a longer cage. The logic of SIMPLEX for the model numbers and codes is not easy to understand. The basic system was typically that with higher grade the ratio of plastic parts was lower and the high end derailleurs were made of all steel or light aluminum alloy. Although the SX 810 T comes with a higher model number compared to the all steel SX 410 T has the black plastic lower knuckle made of Delrin polymer which is somehow an inconsistency. Compared to the widespread SX 410 T it is rarer to find.
