General Information

Early Shimano clipless pedals manufactured by Look. Notice 'Product of France' tag on body. Features:

Two release modes: single (S) and multiple (M). In multiple mode the shoe can be released in several directions: by pulling the heel upwards or diagonally upwards, or by twisting the heel outwards. In single mode the shoe is released only when the heel is twisted outwards.

Adjustable retention force.

Compatible with classic style Look delta cleats.

Details:  in 1990 Shimano 105 was renamed to 105SC group. When the group received a makeover moving away from the polished aluminum finish to a painted silver finish. It would retain 7 Speed as it was introduced a year before with the 1051 group.  Dual pivot brakes were also introduced at the time. Before its demise in 1998 105SC would receive 8 Speed cassettes and STI shifters.

It was replaced with 9 Speed 105 (5500 Series) in 1999
