General Information
The Benelux lever front derailleur had a rounded knob on top of the lever in its first version, changing to a conical shape knob in the mid 1950s. Later the derailleur was called the Mark 7 model in the late 1950s. Derailleur cage slides on a rod, operated by a lever. The cyclist guides a hand down the seat tube without looking to find the lever. Derailleur shifts readily and normal, just like a cable operated front derailleur. No cable maintenance or tensioning.
