General Information
Long cage version seen here was avaliable starting in the 1996 model year. Standard cage version of the A551 was made in 1995. RD-A550 was the 7-speed one. RD-A551 had new geometry to handle the greater width of an 8 speed cassette. BikePro gives for SS / GS versions: Max rear sprocket 28T / 26T Min rear sprocket 12T / 11T Front difference 13T / 22T Max chain wrap 22T / 35T
