| Model General Information |
This is a German version of the "Champion Mondial". Because of some copyright issues, they were named "Champion" only.
Since the AB model was a middle class frame, the Victory group set fits well, because it also wasn't top of the line. The frame was produced 1986, as well as the Victory group, which was produced from 1985 to 1989.
The colorway "ivory white" was also the best selling Champion Mondial color for many years.

While the bulk of the frames produced by Gazelle over the course of its history have been dutch style city bikes, their line of high end racing frames are often considered an under appreciated gem. The Champion Mondial line of frames started to be produced in the early 70's was produced in multiple versions in fairly significant numbers, however very few were ever exported beyond the Netherlands or adjoining countries.
