General Information
These reflectors initially had rubber bodies, some time in the 70s they changed to a nylon-type plastic. To my personal recollection they were ubiquitous on all British brand utility bikes sold in the UK and Ireland throughout the 1950s to 1980s, if not earlier.  The securing screw and nut went through the mudguard's single round wire stay. They frequently fell off due to vibration as they did not use self locking nuts.
