This is a Phillips freewheel from the 50's or 60's. From what I know about the Phillips manufacturer, they were famous for their British-manufactured parts, so I'm slightly surprised to find that this freewheel is marked as having been manufactured in France. I can only guess they might have outsourced some of their work abroad, on occasion. But possibly, when considering that the manufacturer appears not to have really entered the single speed freewheel market, the freewheel could have actually been produced by a manufacturer in France and just badged Phillips.
