FiR La nuova Dimensione GeminiFiR1988 - 1993, Road RaceView 4 Components
Details:   The history of the FiR Gemini group is mysterious, and only a few collectors are aware of its existence. Different sources claim that the complete group of the well-known rim manufacturer from Bergamo was made by Campagnolo according to FiR's own design. Others say that on the contrary, FiR launched the Gemini groupset as a competitor to Campagnolo's C-Record, out of anger that Campagnolo started producing their own rims in 1987. The first-class finish and the "Made in Italy" mark would suggest it came from the Campagolo factory, but on the other hand both the construction and the weight, especially of the rear derailleur, are superior to the Campa products of the time, which makes this thesis appear questionable. What is certain is that FiR launched four different groupsets under the name "La nuova Dimensione" from 1988 onwards, two MTB groupsets that hardly differ from each other, the inexpensive Apollo road race group and the top group Gemini. After the breakthrough against overpowering competitors obviously did not succeed, production and sales were stopped in the mid-90s and the group fell into oblivion.
