General Information
Slight update to the Ergopower shifter introduced in 1992, this model has the diagonal grooves in the lever that were featured on earlier non-Ergo Record shifters a few years previous. For 1992 and 1993 the QR was a spring loaded button on one side only. The bottom of the lever differs from the 1992 version with the dropping of the triangular base. I have uploaded a picture of a pair that I have - these have a black shift lever. Campagnolo only produced one type of Ergo shifters in the early years and these were used for Record, Chorus and Athena groupsets - however they did appear to experiment within this range. These black shift levers came in two parts - the shift paddle which is then attached to a two pronged securing device. In other silver alloy examples this is a one-piece component. The brake levers are unpolished alloy with an impressed crest and a clearcoat finish. The original hoods had Campagnolo script rather than the Winged Logo and the body of the brakes was made of alloy instead of composite.

Details: Introduced in 1991, the Campagnolo Record group was the first of Campagnolo's groups to include Record Ergopower shifters (released in 1992), integrated brake levers and shifters. These parts however are not within the focus of this website. A photo of this part is shown here for completeness, all other parts from this group will be included in the main listing. In 1991, there was also a very rare 'Century' or black-gray finished version of the Record group. Only 300-500 groups were sent to the United States and is very rare around the world.
