Fred Dean had cycle shop in York Road , Wandsworth , London , SW18 . He was a road racer in the 1930's , frame builder and team sponsor . He operated the shop originally at 356 York Road from 1958 , and then from 531 York Road until the mid to late 1960's . I bought my first handbuilt frame from him at 356 York Road in 1961.
