General Information
HMS-Antriebssysteme GmbH (HMS stands for Hochleistungsmotorsegler = high performance motor glider) was originally a motor glider manufacturer. Influenced by a cycling-passionated employee they developped a rim by using carbon, a material they were familiar with. These rims first appeared as tubular rims in 1990. In a test they impressed due to their stiffness and lightness (ca 250 gram).
