General Information
Manufacturing of bicycle parts was a sideline in Walter (based in Prague - Jinonice); the main focus of production were aero-engines. 
Walter produced cranksets, chainrings, front and rear derailleurs, shifting levers and pedals. These were the best quality bicycle components made in the late 1980s and early 1990s Czechoslovakia.

History
1898 - Josef Walter founded a bicycle manufacture in Prague - Smíchov
1901 - start of motorcycles manufacturing
1913 - production moved to a new factory in Prague - Jinonice, first series of automobiles
1930s -  start of aero-engines manufacturing
mid 1950s - automobiles production stopped
