The Bertin C-132 Cyclo-Touriste was a mid range model designed for touring. It came with T.A. CycloTouriste 40T-50T double cranks which could easily be converted to a triple. The Simplex SX-610 rear derailleur easily handled up to a 30T freewheel with a 36T small chainring. The frames were made of butted Vitus 172 tubing . It had the same wall thickness as Columbus SP and the standard Reynolds 531 tubing sets that were used on many production bikes. The after brazing strength was about the same as Reynolds 531 and Columbus. Vitus 172 used Super Vitus 971 fork blades. It wasn't a super light frame but again it was designed for touring with bags and camping gear. The long chain stays gave plenty of room for panniers. This bike came with an Ideale 80 leather saddle. Earlier model C-132 bikes where made of Durifort butted tubes and had Ideale 39 saddles.
