General Information
Shimano "105 SC" bottom bracket (Model BB-1055). This model succeeded Shimano's BB-1050, and although very similar, this model includes some design advantages. The most notable are the rubber-like ring inserts that line the inside of the cone to prevent dirt and other elements from entering through the spindle/axle opening. We also noted this model comes standard with the flexible plastic sleeve that touches the inside of both cups to form another seal to keep dirt and other elments from getting to the cups or cones from other openings in the frame.  length of 115 mm for the Italian threaded version.
