| The Look Equipe was the team issue cycle selected by Bernard Tapie for his La Vie Claire team. The frameset is silver-soldered Reynolds 753 tubing and bears the distinctive La Vie Claire paint scheme. This model bears the commemorative certificate that it was produced during Hinault's retirement year of 1986. The cycle is equipped with the correct first-generation Look clipless pedals and LeMond's favorite Avocet cyclometer (one of the first available). The water bottle also bears mentioning, as this Specialized-brand Greg LeMond commemorative model was quickly recalled by Taco Bell as a choking hazard. This is one of the few that still has the original "dangerous" spout that easily comes out of the bottle into your throat if you suck on it too hard, since I never returned it to trade in for an "approved" model and free taco. |
