History |
Karl Altenburger, a professional German cyclist in the 1930s, created his first aluminium rim for tubulars in 1935 and began serial production in 1936. He went on to produce a number of different components including brakes/levers as well as derailleurs for a number of years. At the date of July, 31 in 1940 the Altenburger GmbH & Co. KG located in Jestetten, Germany, has been registered for production of lightweight vehicle parts. |
