General Information
S R SAKAE SX CRANKSET with SAKAE OVALTECH CHAINRINGS (Efficiency Plus)
Note: The 48T sprocket has a sticker on it. Previous 48T sprockets were stamped with the OVALTECH logo in the chainring.

These, along with the SUGINO CYCLOID CHAINRINGS were more than likely licensed by SHIMANO BIOPACE.  When the sprockets are laid on top of each other, they are very close to matching with only a little variation in major axis and minus axis.  The Biopace are the most conservative, followed by Cycloid and then Ovaltech.  The major axis gets a little longer and the minor axis gets a little smaller.

This 1986 later set of chainrings (48T/38T/28T) were designed to be lighter than previous cranksets by removing material from the inside of the rings.

Date of Manufacturing / Production Code for SR seatposts (at least for the 80's):
The date of prodcution of SR (Laprade) seatposts is shown around the min.insert line as follows:
"letter"-"double digit number", e.g. F-81 oder L-81, while the letter should be the month and the number will be the year of production.
So F-81 seems to be June 1981 while L-81 would indicate December 1981.
