Currys is now one of Britain's three biggest electric and electronics retailers. However, originally, it started out life as a bicycle manufacturer in Leicester. They stopped selling bicycles in the mid 1960s. They made and sold lightweights, sports roadsters, utility bicycles and ladies bicycles.
