Germaan began making "motorfiets", lightweight motorcycles, and transport bicycles in 1935. Like many small Dutch bicycle manufacturers such as Pheonix, Eroba, and Fongers, they were involved in multiple combinations and were eventually purchased by Batavus in 1970. After this time the marque appears to have disappeared.
