Headbadge Information
Racing bikes from Schmidt Sport were manufactured in Cologne, Germany.
During the 70s and 80s the former bike racing driver LEO SCHMIDT brazed light weight frames according to customer wishes.
He mainly used tubes from Reynolds 531 but the very rare Ishiwata 015 as well.
In addition he has a patent on an angled drop out to have already in the early 70s bigger cassettes mounted to the bike.
